This policy explains what PokerCoach collects and how it’s used during the closed beta. We aim to collect only what the service needs to work.

What we collect

Account info — your email, an optional display name, and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in plain text). If you sign in with Google or GitHub, we receive your basic profile from them.
Gameplay data — the hands you play, your decisions, results, notes, and play-money chip balance, so the app can save, replay, and coach your hands.
Community content — hands you choose to share and comments you post.
Basic technical data — standard logs needed to run and debug the service.

How we use it

To operate the service: run the game, save and analyze your hands, generate AI coaching, and improve the product during the beta. To generate coaching, the relevant hand details are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to produce a review; this is used to serve your request, not to train their models.

What we don’t do

We don’t sell your personal data. We don’t process real-money payments (the beta is free and chips are play money only).

Data retention & deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting the beta operator who invited you. Note that beta data may also be reset as part of testing.

We may update this policy during the beta; material changes will be reflected here.
